Invisalign® aligners are made of a thermoplastic material that was developed explicitly for this treatment. The clear aligners are custom created to fit snugly against your teeth.
The custom aligners are worn over the teeth and by exerting gentle pressure, they gradually cause the teeth to move from their current position toward their ideal position.
You will be provided with a series of sequential aligners. Approximately every two weeks you will switch to the next aligner in the series. This process will continue until your teeth have achieved their ideal position. The average treatment lasts about 12 months.
No. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat or drink whatever you want during your treatment. Before returning your aligners into your mouth, it is essential you brush and floss your teeth thoroughly. There is no need to adjust your lifestyle because of Invisalign®, and our Scottsdale patients love that!
